Kitchen cakes available to supplement for the additional servings of cake needed.

Kitchen cake is an additional tier of cake that is separate from the wedding cake, and is stored behind the scenes in the kitchen until it is ready to cut and serve with the main wedding cake.  

Kitchen cake is prepared just like the wedding cake.  It will have the same amount of cake layers, filling layers and will be frosted in a smooth buttercream finish.  Your guests will not know the difference between the kitchen cake and the actual wedding cake on display when it is cut up and served. 

Kitchen cake is currently priced at $9.50 per serving.

A wedding cake design from our signature collection can be ordered without decorations or you can customize them to include:

1. A colored buttercream or fondant finish (additional fees apply)

2. Add decorations like wafer paper flowers, sugar flowers, fresh flowers, monogram, 24k edible gold accents, etc.

Please be aware that we specialize in our own cake designs. While we do offer custom wedding cake designs, we do not offer sculpted cakes nor do we copy the design of another cake designer. If there is a wedding cake design that inspires you, we can take inspiration from it to create a wedding cake that is in line with A Simple Cake’s brand while fusing in the design elements you like.

We also do not prepare fake styrofoam cakes.

We periodically add new cake designs and will feature them on our website and our social media accounts. These designs that are featured can be customized to fit your event beautifully.

Should you commission your florist to decorate the wedding cake on-site, please be aware that it will be your responsibility and your florist’s responsibility to ensure you are using safe and non-toxic flowers on the wedding cake.

We will go over this in detail once your wedding cake order is booked.

Our process for ordering a wedding cake is hassle free!

1) Reach out to inquire about our wedding cake designs and to check our availability.

2) You will hear back from us and you can decide to order a wedding cake sample box. Or if you just know you want to work with us, you can secure your wedding date by submitting a deposit.

A $350.00 non-refundable and non-transferable deposit is required to secure your wedding cake order into our production schedule.

3) After your tasting or right after you submit a deposit, we will prepare your wedding cake order agreement.

4) We understand that you may need to make adjustments to your wedding cake order as your wedding date nears, especially when it comes to your wedding cake serving count.  This is why we allow you the opportunity to make any adjustments to your cake order up to one (1) month prior to your wedding date.  We will reach out to you at that time to confirm your wedding cake design, cake flavor and serving count.  

Should you need to make any changes or increase your servings, we will update your order at that time and provide you with an updated balance invoice.  

The delivery fee will also be added on at this time.  See our Delivery section below for more details on the delivery rates.

We deliver within the Tri-State area and the delivery fee is based on mileage and any applicable tolls from our commercial kitchen.  

Once we confirm your venue location, we will provide you with a final delivery quote which will be applied to the balance on your wedding cake order.

As noted above, the deposit payment is non-refundable and non-transferable. Should you decide to cancel your wedding cake order, you will forfeit your deposit payment.

Final payment of your wedding cake order is due one month prior to your wedding date. Should you cancel right after your final payment, this amount is also non-refundable and non-transferable.

If your final payment is not received by the 30-day mark, you risk incurring a late fee on your wedding cake balance.

Please understand we are a boutique wedding cake studio and not a retail bakery. We only prepare wedding cakes and we only prepare a certain amount of cakes per weekend. When you secure the date with us, we hold off from booking any additional cake orders. While cancellations are unfortunate and difficult, we keep to this policy because we won’t be able to book another wedding cake to replace your cancelled order.
